Walmart launches a streaming channel in India
Walmart is launching a new video streaming service in India through its Flipkart subsidiary, an attempt to entice customers from rival Amazon, which already has a streaming service that also offers self-produced programming – origo wrote.
Walmart acquired Flipkart, an Indian retail company in May last year for 16 billion USD, which was the world’s largest e-commerce acquisition in 2018.
The planned streaming service – according to an anonymous source – will be free for members of the Flipkart Plus loyalty program. (origo)
