M&S Reported To Be Discussing Moves Into India And Israel
Marks & Spencer is in talks with India's Reliance Retail for an equal joint-venture for apparel, food and cafes, according Economic Times, citing unnamed sources.
A deal could be reached in the next
three weeks, the paper said without attributing it to a source. Both
companies have declined to comment on the report.
Meanwhile, the
Financial Mail on Sunday reported that M&S may return to Israel
after a 10-year absence. Previous attempts to enter the market
failed, and it pulled out a decade ago, but it could re-establish
there by the end of the year, the report said.
