This is the price of carp this Christmas
Pénzcentrum found out what kind of fish season Hungarian customers can prepare for, in what quantity and at what price customers’ favorite fish will be available during the holiday season.

40 percent more expensive than last year
Bence Sziráki, the executive director of the Hungarian Aquaculture and Fisheries Interprofessional Organization (MA-HAL), told the newspaper that the drought, as well as the increase in the price of fuel, feed and energy, had a significant impact on the sector in the past year.
The price of fuel, feed and energy has increased at an unprecedented rate in the past year. From the point of view of lake farm fish production, the sector can expect a terrible year this year. Due to the cold, low-precipitation spring following the mild winter, and the prolonged summer drought, it is increasingly difficult to produce fish in pond farming conditions
– pointed out the managing director of MA-HAL, who also reported that the prolonged dry weather also caused unprecedented damage to the fish ponds.
