IKSZ: the population collects beverage cartons with renewed vigor

The population selects beverage cartons with a renewed momentum. Following the stagnating results of recent years, the recollection of carton boxes of dairy and fruit soup which is a valuable recycled paper raw material is expected to reach 23 percent.

In spite of the record result, the recollection and recycling of this type of waste is still in its infancy in Hungary, as the average value in the EU member states is already 48 percent. At the same time, the purpose of the Italos Karton Environmental Protection Association is to increase the recollection by 30 percent until 2025.
