This is how the average consumer price of beer changed in Hungary
Beer production varied in the first half of the 2010s, and then increased continuously between 2015 and 2019. In 2020, however, the volume of output (HUF 100.3 billion) fell by 13% to an extent not seen in the 2010s. The large decrease was largely caused by the loss of consumption due to the Covid-19 epidemic. As a result of the restrictions, in the spring and late autumn months, catering units were closed or could only receive guests to a limited extent, and cultural and sports events, festivals, town and village days supported by breweries and breweries were mostly cancelled. In 2020, beer production accounted for 2.6% of food industry output.
