This is how Coca-Cola and Budapest Bike Maffia support communities during the brand’s Christmas campaign
Coca-Cola is taking its legendary Christmas campaign to a new level this year, encouraging its consumers to stop in the hustle and bustle of everyday life and holiday preparations. This is when we can truly experience the joy of the moment and notice those for whom kindness is the most valuable gift.
During the campaign, the company is supporting the work of the Budapest Bike Maffia again this year and is inviting consumers nationwide to do the same. By purchasing individually decorated Christmas tree decorations at Coca-Cola Holiday Stops, you can contribute to helping those in need. Foodora has also joined the campaign: anyone who orders food through the company’s food delivery service can also help the organization. Highlighting the importance of good causes and genuine care, the brand’s iconic Christmas song returns this year Dávid Miller and his father, Zoltán Miller, in their first joint performance, for which a video clip was also made in Budapest, directed by Balázs Büki.
Many believe that Coca-Cola is an essential part of the magic of Christmas, as the brand not only refreshes the taste of the holiday, but also its spirit, and where it is really needed, most of all in our communities. Coca-Cola has therefore set itself the goal of reminding people this year: the true value of the holiday lies in connection, and for this it is essential that we stop for a moment. The domestic campaign reinforces the brand’s global message with local content and community collaborations, emphasizing that the real heroes of Christmas are those who work for others, give back, and build community.
The company and the Budapest Bike Maffia are waiting for consumers at Coca-Cola Holiday Stops from November 24 to December 21. In Budapest, you can take a break from the hustle and bustle at three locations (Aréna Pláza, Árkád, WestEnd), the Árkád in Győr, and the Fórum shopping centers in Debrecen. At the donation points, anyone can stop for a moment to get out of the rush and experience the true joy of Christmas, as well as join a good cause.
The initiative is implemented in collaboration with the Budapest Bike Maffia, who have been working for years to help those in need and build bridges between communities. Visitors can purchase Christmas tree decorations to decorate on site, hide their wishes in them, and take them home to surprise their loved ones. 100% of the proceeds from the decorations will support the work of the Budapest Bike Maffia. Product tastings, games, photo booths and influencer meetings at the locations ensure that in addition to donating, there is also the opportunity to stop and recharge.
As Judit Szalóky Tóth, Coca-Cola Hungary’s director of corporate relations, sustainability and communications, puts it:
“We want to focus on those who are the real heroes of Christmas: the people who work behind the scenes, build community and support. They are the ones we want to thank. We are pleased to be able to cooperate with the Budapest Bike Mafia on this.”
As part of the campaign, consumers have the opportunity to donate on several platforms: in addition to the Holiday Stops, the On the Coca-Cola website, Through the Coke App, or On the Budapest Bike Maffia interface.
