This is how agricultural producer prices increased in September, according to the KSH

In September, agricultural producer prices were on average 61.0 percent higher than a year earlier, the rate of increase jumped by 8.1 percentage points after the 2.2 percentage points in August, according to the latest data published by the Central Statistics Office (KSH) on Friday.

The purchase price of live animals was 69.2 percent higher than last September, which is 14.1 percentage points higher than the 55.7 percent in August. With a 55.0 percent increase in the price of animal products, live animals and animal products together showed an annual increase of 64.3 percent, which is 10.4 percentage points higher than the previous month. The purchase price of live pigs increased by 99.7 percent, i.e. almost to the doula of last September, which is a 35.3 percentage point higher increase than in August. The purchase price of poultry increased by 55.7 percent in one year. The price of milk increased by 64.8 percent and that of eggs by 51.7 percent, which is 15.9 percentage points higher than in August.

The price of grain and fruits also increased

The producer price of plant growing and horticultural products was on average 59.5 percent higher than in September last year, which is a 7.0 percentage point higher annual increase than in August. The biggest improvement was shown by the rise in the price of oil crops, which was 12.7 percentage points and stood at 52.7 percent in September. The producer price of sunflower seeds was 66.4 percent higher than a year ago, which is a steeper annual increase of 30.9 percentage points than in August. The average price level of potatoes in September was 44.5 percent higher than a year earlier, which is a 7.2 percentage point higher annual increase than the previous month. The purchase price of cereals was on average 82.3 percent higher than last September. The producer price of wheat was 77.7 percent higher than last September, and that of corn was 84.5 percent higher. The average price of fruits was lower than last year for the second month, in September there was still 0.9 percent of the 1.7 percent decrease in August. From October to May of last year, the purchase price of fruits was lower than a year earlier, showing a moderate increase only in June and July.

Only the price increase of vegetables slowed down in September: the 39.8 percent annual price increase is 4.2 percentage points lower than in August.
