Greek truffles are becoming more popular
The market for truffles is dominated by Italian and French products, but their prices have jumped into the sky recently.
So, Eklekto, who had begun scrutinizing the Greek Forests last year, is searching for white truffles. In addition, Urbani that dominates 70 percent of the world’s truffle market, has also noticed changes in the country – origo wrote.
“If another area is capable of producing the same quality of truffles, we must be serious about it,” Vittorio Giordano, the President of the North American section of Urbani told Bloomberg. (Origo)
