Cook fish for Christmas
Instead of recommended one or two times per week the majority of Hungarians eat fish only at Christmas time, when the carp and the fish shoup are the hit foods, despite with little care diverse and healthy fish dishes can be prepared.
Eating fish is specifically healthy. This dish is a good choice, every day not only during Christmas. “The fish contain high concentrations of essential unsaturated fatty acids, whole proteins, vitamins and minerals, in addition they are easily digestible and very tasty” – Varga Anita, dietitian of the National Food and Nutrition Institute told.
The campaign of the Operational Fisheries Programme (HOP) encourages the Hungarians to consume marine and freshwater fish regularly.
