Shoppers could use more time
In December 2019 new online supermarket Kifli.hu conducted a representative survey among Hungarian internet users. This revealed that 50 percent of Hungarian consumers visit grocery stores or specialist food shops daily, and one third visits a supermarket every few days. Half of the population spends 2-4 hours a week with shopping, and for 20 percent this time is more than 4 hours.
Only 4 percent of Hungarians buy FMCG products online. Respondents said what they like the least about physical stores is that they don’t get everything at the same place, shops are crowded and wasting a lot of time – one third of shoppers would rather spend the approximately 4 hours of weekly shopping with their hobbies. //
