SPAR stands for Hungarian melon again this year
More than seven million kilos of melons were marketed last year by SPAR Hungary. This amount is expected to be even bigger this year.
Rácz Árpád, SPAR’s vegetable and fruit expert, welcomes the buyers in Szántód with fresh Hungarian melon.
A significant part of the sales volume was grown by Hungarian farmers and was sold by the chain during the summer season. When the domestic melons appear in the stores, the sales of import melons will be suspended.
