This year again, more collections will be started to help shelter animals – SPAR shows online when and where
Support for cats and dogs living in shelters will continue in 2024 as part of the cooperation between SPAR Hungary and the National Animal Welfare Foundation. Last year, the initiative collected, among other things, 32,000 kilograms of dry food and more than 45,000 canned goods for them.
For more than a decade, SPAR Hungary has been helping the supply of Hungarian animal shelters, animal and game parks by offering them products withdrawn from commercial circulation, but which can still be used for feeding animals. In addition, the company has been organizing pet food collection campaigns with the National Animal Protection Foundation for more than 10 years, with which they support NGOs involved in animal rescue. In addition to collecting donations, the aim of the initiative is to draw attention to responsible animal husbandry and the importance of the work of shelters.
The national campaign will continue this year as well. Organizations involved in animal rescue can join the collection campaigns through the National Animal Protection Foundation, which performs coordination and scheduling. Customers of SPAR and INTERSPAR stores can meet with NGOs every month and support their work by donating pet food. Supporters can find information about the location and time of the collections on SPAR’s online interface created for this purpose, which is available at the following link: www.sparafenntarthatojovoert.hu/mancsabajban
