Retail sales of household chemicals and cosmetics increased this year
The favorable trends continue this year in the household chemicals and cosmetics retail trade. In January-April, store sales rose by 6 percent to 110 billion HUF, compared to last year's first four months. In terms of volume Nielsen’s Retail Index registered plus 1 percent.
The turnover increased above the average in terms of value in the seventy one category measured by Nielsen. Growth occured in the four major categories of products; in case of detergents, toilet paper, paper diapers and fabric softener – Barta Mónika, Senior Account Manager of Nielsen informs. In addition to fabric softeners, decor cosmetics, toilet cleaners and perfumes also acxhived a double-digit growth.
