According to analysts, unemployment rate will decline this year, but remains above 10 percent
This year, on an annual average unemployment rate may decrease to 10.3 – 10.5 percent in Hungary – say the analysts, adding that the slight increase in the rate in thefinal quarter of last year was caused by seasonal effects, and collective redundancies.
According to the Friday published datas of the Central Statistical Office; unemployment rate on an annual average was 11.2 percent, last year in Hungary, 1.2 percentage points higher than the figure of 2009. The average number of unemployed was 475,000, 12.8 percent more than in 2009. In the last quarter of the last year, the number of unemployed increased by 4.5 percent to 462 thousand, resulting in a 10.8 percent unemployment rate – reports mfor.hu, after MTI.
