This year, Kopint-Tárki is expecting a 3.9 percent increase next year, 4 percent
The Kopint-Tárki Prosperity Research Institute has not changed its main forecasts, this year GDP will continue to grow by 3.9 percent and 4 percent next year, while the inflation is expected to be 2.3 percent in 2017 and 2.5 percent in 2018 – Palócz Éva, the general manager of the institute announced at a press conference organized by the National Association of Entrepreneurs and Employers in Budapest.
According to Palócz Éva, “this is a good year” for the Hungarian economy, but it should also be remembered that while the rate of growth really exceeds the EU average, this country has just entered the middle ground with this year’s and next year’s numbers in the region.
Investments have risen faster, but net exports have declined more sharply than the institute previously expected – the CEO said. (MTI)
