Hungarian exports may grow by 2 to 2.4 percent this year
The Hungarian exports will expand with 2 to 2.4 percent this year – the Minister of National Economy announced in Budapest on Monday, in the scope of a press conference. Varga Mihály told that the trade surplus balance this year is expected to be around 7 billion euros.
The current exchange rate helps the exporting companies, and neutral to the public finances, the government has no exchange rate objective – Varga Mihály said. He added that last year the exports amounted to 81.7 billion euros, which is a record.
The Minister for Economic Affairs pointed out: According to the datas of the Central Statistics Office that were published on 5 March 2013, the aggregate value of Hungarian exports – calculated in euros was 2.2 percent above the previous year's exports, while imports amounted to 74.7 billion euros, which is a 1.9 percent increased compared with 2012.
