IATA: annual air traffic exceeded 4 billion in in 2017
For the first time in history, the annual global flight traffic exceeded 4 billion – according to the data of the International Air Transport Association (IATA). Compared to 2016, 7.3 percent more people flew in 2017.
On Thursday, the Montreal-based airline trading company told MTI in its analysis, that 4.1 billion people traveled with plane in 2017, most of them, 1.5 billion in the Asia-Pacific region. In Europe, 1.1 billion passengers in North America 941 million passengers were registered. (MTI)
