Twenty-somethings for sustainability – they made history in the Hungarian startup sphere
Kristóf Hegedűs and Levente Farkas, the founders of Beeco, have successfully closed their first crowdfunding campaign on Brancs. This made history among Hungarian Kickstarter campaigns, as Beeco was successful as the first mobile application and the first green project. Moreover, unlike the usual campaigns, we did not raise the target amount for Beeco products, but only from user support.
Community and developments
The funds raised from the campaign will be used to develop the Beeco app to help their users with personalized, playful missions and an ecological footprint counter. The aim of the new developments is to ensure that everyone receives help through the app in what they really need, and thus can confidently switch to a more sustainable lifestyle. Their upcoming events calendar, which was also significantly contributed to by the Brancs campaign, will not only help users find green workshops, lectures, and local actions, but also provide the entire Hungarian sustainability sphere with an opportunity to connect and create a vibrant, supportive community through them. This experience confirmed that Beeco is a pioneer in Hungarian startup culture, as their solution is innovative and fills a gap, while representing the values of community and authenticity.
Beeco’s mission
Kristóf and Levente’s mission with Beeco is to help people make environmentally conscious decisions – with their free mobile app, everyone can easily find greener solutions in their everyday lives. Their goal is that no one has to spend long hours searching for relevant, reliable sustainability tips, but instead receive personalized help in the Beeco app! They already have more than 30,000 green locations in Hungary and, thanks to their partners, they help users with more than 30 coupons.
