One in twenty founding companies will be successful
Tens of thousands companies are established by domestic entrepreneurs every year in Hungary, but almost forty percent of them proves to be short-lived, and only every twentieth will produce acceptable results in five years – wrote Világgazdaság Online describing the analysis of the Opten business information provider. In a narrower sense, all three hundredth business can be considered as a real startups.
“The analysis of the data is disappointing at first glance, but digging a little deeper, we find that there are measurable amounts of reasonably well-functioning startups or even real success stories can also be found in addition to the tens of thousands of defunct companies” – Pertics Richárd, director of the Opten company information division.
