Tobacco shop applications are twenty times oversubscribed

There is a continuing interest towards the the third-round tender for tobacconists. The 180 concession applications announced at 162 settlements are twenty times oversubscribed – Világgazdaság wrote on Friday.

“A total of 3902 applications were received and 3824 of them are valid” – Légrádi Petra, spokesperson of the National Tobacco Trade Office (NDN) told the newspaper. Most of the 162 settlements are villages under 2 thousand inhabitants, but there are tobacco shop tenders in rural areas as well; eight in Miskolc, two in Érd and five in Hajdúhadháza.
