214 billion HUF of meat products: increase in value and quantity
Retail sales of meat products increased by 3 percent in value, 4 percent in quantity last year, as compared to the previous year. The annual market size is about 214 billion forints. Among other things, this is what market research company Nielsen's Retail Index concluded.
The highest demand is for redmeats, especially parisians and sausages, 36 pecent of all sales last year derived from this field, similarly to the previous year. The second place goes for bratwurst with its 16 percent, next comes ham, bacon, with 9 percent of sales percentage each.
