Meat Industrialists: the meat sector’s performance increased by 4.5 percent
Due mainly to the above the average growth of the poultry sector, the meat sector’s performance increased by 4.5 percent last year, surpassing the average growth of the industry and the food industry – Éder Tamás, Social President of the Hungarian Meat Industry Association (Meat Association) said on Wednesday in Budapest at a press conference.
He added that the sector’s performance was pulled by the increase of the poultry sector, because the “classic” (pork and beef) meat sectors only slightly increased by 1 percent. The meat production, however, increased by 6 percent compared to the previous year. (MTI)
