The Karcagi lamb stew became a Hungaricum

This is the first dish recipe that was included in the line hungaricums – Fazekas Sándor Minister for Rural Development said on Saturday at the opening ceremony of the 15th Karcagi Sheep Cooking Festival. He added that the food specialty deserves a special respect and protection.

Dobos László, mayor of Karcag said that 12-13 thousand guests are expected for the two-day festival, that will be held on Saturday and Sunday. Lamb stew will be prepared at about 200 cooking areas, from about 400 sheeps on the first day of the festival. (MTI)
