The commitment period for the 2018 ECO grant has been extended
The Ministry of Agriculture has created the possibility for organic farmers to extend by one year from October 16, 2023 to November 15, 2023 the “Transition to organic farming, organic within the framework of the call called “maintaining farming”, their commitment period that expires at the end of this year.
As a result of the extension, support will continue to be available to beneficiaries who are currently participating in the program and wish to take advantage of this opportunity. The extension of the commitment period can be requested in the period from October 16, 2023 to November 15, 2023, by submitting the electronic form published by the Hungarian State Treasury through the customer portal. The Treasury has until January 15, 2024 to withdraw the request to extend the commitment period. If the farmer does not wish to use the possibility of extending the commitment period, he does not need to submit an application, but the deadline available for submission is void. It is necessary to comply with the undertaken activities during the entire duration of the commitment, but at the same time, non-compliance established for the first time during the support relationship before the extension is not taken into account with regard to the recurring nature of the sanctions for non-compliance established in the year of the extension.
