Babel Budapest has launched an initiative aimed at bringing together the actors of the domestic hospitality industry, which has also been joined by PAPI Restaurant & Farm and KIOSK Budapest. As part of the program, the participating restaurants provide professional discounts to those working in the hospitality industry on certain days.

The initiative of Babel Budapest, PAPI Restaurant & Farm and KIOSK Budapest goes beyond a simple price discount. The program aims to strengthen professional cooperation, inspiration and dialogue at a time when the sector is facing economic and operational challenges – both in Budapest and in the countryside.

The hospitality days create an opportunity for those working in the profession to be present as guests in each other’s restaurants: to gain experience, be inspired and build relationships.

“It has been my long-standing dream that those working in the hospitality industry would not only be present alongside each other, but also for each other. If we can inspire and give each other opportunities, it will benefit us all in the long run. I believe that generosity is not a weakness, but a strength” – revealed Hubert Hlatky-Schlichter, the initiator of the program, who believes that the future of hospitality depends on cooperation.

The reception of the program has already been positive: restaurants are returning colleagues, spontaneous professional conversations and new collaborations indicate that there is a real need for this type of connection.

As part of the initiative, Babel Budapest offers a 50% discount on tasting menus on Wednesdays and Thursdays, PAPI Restaurant & Farm (Pócsmegyer) offers a 33% discount on the six-course menu on Thursdays, while KIOSK Budapest offers a 20% discount on the entire food and beverage offer for catering professionals every Monday. Advance booking is required to use the professional discount.
