Heat and shopping frenzy: a wave of sales on the household appliances market
The long-lasting hot weather puts not only people to the test, but also household appliances, so in the past few days various appliances have stopped working en masse. Due to the increased demand, department stores are announcing promotions in order to satisfy the increased demand. According to GFK data, the Hungarian household appliance market decreased by 21.8 percent last year, which means 302,000 less sales, so the promotions are timely and necessary.
Price drop in department stores
Aldi, Auchan, Lidl, Euronics and Media Markt also attract customers with attractive offers. In Aldi, in addition to mobile air conditioners and refrigerators, vacuum cleaners and small kitchen appliances, such as espresso machines and coffee grinders, were among the discounted products.
Auchan offers ovens and coffee makers at discounted prices, while Lidl offers a wide range of discount products from bluetooth thermometers to air fryers. Refrigerators, washing machines and air conditioning equipment dominate the offer of Euronics and Media Markt, and soda machines are also popular since the introduction of the deposit fee for plastic bottles.
