The Netherlands
The Netherlands is our third biggest supplier of agricultural products. Our exports to the Netherlands grew by 2,6 per cent in 2006, to EUR 150 million. Exports of corn increased by 34 per cent to EUR 38,5 million, while those of sunflower seed and beef also grew significantly. Imports from the Netherlands declined by 4,5 per cent in 2006 and amounted to EUR 319,3 million. Soya was the biggest import item with a value of EUR 74 million, but imports of live swine and of pork were also substantial. Imports of live plants and flowers accounted for EUR 35 million.
