The success story of the Varga Winery
The history of the Varga Winery began in 1993 when the Varga family purchased a bankrupt estate in a state farm on a 5.6 acre industrial estate in Badacsonyörs for a total of 180 million forints plus VAT.

In the past decade, the winery has received numerous premium wines at domestic and international wine competitions. The most important of these is perhaps the Italian Vinitaly in 2012, and the Bordeaux international Challenge du Vin competition in 2017, the unofficial world championship, where the Varga Winery has become the best from the 40-50 Hungarian wineries.
