How to reduce the amount of plastic waste
The average European citizen produces 4.8 tonnes of waste a year, most of which is plastic packaging.
As a result, the European Union wants to recycle 65 percent of all packaging waste by 2025 and produce a quarter of plastic bottles from recycled materials. But what can an average person can do to achieve these important goals? Nestlé, one of the largest food companies in the world, has produced a Recycling Notebook, which provides practical advice on responsible waste collection.
