The fish may be in short supply
Due to the figh Christmas season and the early start of exports, the stock of domestic fishponds will run out by the end of May, and a deficit may develop in the market by the end of July. Prices are ten percent higher than a year ago, but are expected to rise further – Világgazdaság wrote.
Surprisingly, last year’s Christmas brought at least as good fish turnover as in previous years, and then this year started unusually well, as exports started Lévai Ferenc – the spokesman of the Hungarian Inter-Trade Organization for Aquaculture and Fisheries (MA-HAL) and owner-CEO of Aranyponty Zrt. told Világgazdaság.
