Russia’s caviar production increased with seventy percent
Russia has increased its red and black caviar production last year – mfor.hu wrote. According to the Russian statistical office, in 2018, 22.2 thousand tons of red salmon caviars were produced, which is almost 70 percent more than a year before.
According to the data of the Rosribolovstvo Russian State Fisheries Agency, last year a record number of 676 thousand tons of salmon were fished, which is almost twice as much as a year before. 12-14 thousand tons of red caviar are consumed per year, and the price of salmon caviar dropped last year due to overproduction.
