The third-quarter profit of Henkel increased by seventy percent
The German retail consumer goods manufacturer Henkel's profits increased by 70 percent in the third quarter of 2009, thanks to lower restructuring costs.
According to the preliminary datas Henkel’s third quarter sales were 3.49 billion euros, compared to the same period of last year’s 3.76 billion.
However, the company's net profit rose to 172 million euros from last year’s 101 million.
The company's operating profit (EBIT) is 290 million euros, containing the restructuring costs, which amounted to 95 million euros. After adjusting these items, the operating profit (adjusted EBIT) declined from 391 million euros to 385 million – reports profitline.hu.
