Seventh heaven
International retail chain 7-Eleven tries to be a part of our everyday lives that stores offer everything consumers might need in Taiwan. In addition to the usual hypermarket assortment, they can use the touchscreen kiosks to pay for the parking ticket, buy metro, train and concert tickets, book a hotel room and order products, which will be delivered to the address that they choose. ‘Food heaven’ 7-Eleven also leads the way in digitalisation: in shops customers find self-checkouts and digital shelves. According to Euromonitor data, 7-Eleven’s sales jumped 20 percent in the country between 2013 and 2018. //
