The waste derby starts on the Upper Tisza for the seventh time
In the first week of August, the Pirate Teams of the PET Cup starts to collect waste onto their ships again for days from the River Tisza between Tivadar and Záhony.
The teams will cover nearly eighty river kilometers with self-built pylon bottle boats. Following the floods at the end of May, organizers expect a record amount of accumulated waste. The participants of the 7th PET Cup expected to pick several tons of waste, mainly plastic, from the river and its floodplains between August 3 and August 11.
