Employment does not change in the SME sector for seven years
In Hungary, employment is stagnating since 2005 at the small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The number of SMEs did not increase as well. The indicators in connection with the status of small business have mostly improved, but the majority of them are below the EU average, only the public administration’s efficiency exceeded – the European Commission states in its report published on Monday.
The report determines that on the basis of SBA’s (Small Business Act, SBA) 10 indicators; “Hungary has a typical profile of the emerging countries.”
According to the document, in two out of ten indicators situation worsened in Hungary, in eight indicators, a gradual improvement can be observed but Hungary's position in these indicators – with one exception – is below the EU average. (MTI)
