Henkel: significant revenues and profits in the first quarter
The financial year has started well for Henkel.The good performance is due to the restructuring and cost reduction efforts. In the first quarter, revenues exceeded 3.5 billion euros.
In the first quarter of 2010, Henkel reached a turnover of 3.512 billion euros. This means a 7.8 percent increase, compared to the same quarter of last year among improved market conditions. After adjusting the foreign exchange, sales growth was 7.5 percent.
Primarily due to the development of Adhesive Technologies, operating profit (EBIT) increased by 93.3 percent, from 218 million to 422 million euros.
