Pig production in China may be recovered by the first half of next year
Pork production in China may be recovered in the first half of next year, according to the Chinese Ministry of Agriculture – the Xinhua Chinese State News Agency reported.
The price of pork, an important ingredient in Chinese cuisine, has skyrocketed over the past two years, mainly due to the African swine fever epidemic that has decimated the country’s pig population, significantly dragging the overall consumer price index upwards. (MTI)
