Local products on the Internet
One of the strongest trends in world gastronomy today is using locally grown and locally manufactured products. But very often it is not easy to find these products. A real 21st-century solution is Local Dirt, a Wisconsin-based website that connects growers/manufacturers with buyers. Farmers can create their own profiles on the site and buyers can find the perfect growers.
They simply fill in an order form on which they can even indicate where they would like to take over the products and pay. Most services on Local Dirt are free of charge, but wholesalers have to pay an annual membership fee.
