Magazine: Household chemicals and cosmetics trends
In January-April 2013 retail sales of household chemicals and cosmetics amounted to more than HUF 97 billion, 1 percent more than in the same period of 2012; as for volume sales, Nielsen registered a 5-percent drop. In the 70 non-food categories audited by Nielsen the largest part of sales is still realised by hypermarkets, but their share reduced from 37 to 34 percent (in value) in the last four months. Drugstores, the 401-2,500m² channel and 200m² and smaller shops increased their turnover (in value) above the average.
