Hungarians would most like to see household appliances and electronic products under the tree
Buyers are trying to counteract the economic difficulties with a more conscious attitude, more than half of whom – taking advantage of the sales and discounts at the end of November – tried to buy this year’s gifts even before December. The results of Árukereső.hu’s Christmas research, which can now be considered traditional, reveal that public product evaluations matter a lot in the decisions of Hungarian customers.
The recent Christmas survey conducted by Árukereső.hu for the eighth year now provides instructive findings, which provides a snapshot of the prevailing consumer trends among the adult population at the beginning of the current holiday season. Every tenth Hungarian would spend a maximum of HUF 10,000 on a Christmas present, and more than a quarter of them target the range between HUF 10,000 and HUF 30,000. At the same time, these ratios are reversed in the region, for example among the Czechs and Slovaks, they would rather spend HUF 40 and 60 thousand, which in our country, however, only one in ten consumers can afford. Almost half of the respondents plan to spend at a level similar to last year, which highlights two important aspects: despite the economic situation, more people are trying to keep Christmas presents this year, but this amount, adjusted for inflation, corresponds to somewhat less this year.
