Hungary is the first to draw EU funds
In 2018, the European Commission allocated 4.4 billion euros to Hungary, ie more than 1,400 billion HUF development funds – said Schanda Tamás, Minister of State of the Innovation and Technology Ministry (ITM), responsible for EU development – Magyar Idők Online wrote.
Schanda emphasized that this is a remarkable achievement in international comparison, with Hungary also ahead of V4 and other countries in the region. Hungary has already called for 31 percent of the 9,000 billion forints available in the 2014-2020 development period, and thus far exceeds the 27 percent average of the member states. According to the Minister of State, the Hungarian development policy closed a succesful year in 2018, and the European Commission sees it as well. (magyaridok.hu)
