On Hungarian roads for Hungarian food products
This September Coop Rally was organised for the sixth time, and the 94 cars travelled from Bőcs to Gyula, representing 15 percent of the retail market and 20-25 percent of the food industry. László Murányi, Co-op Hungary Zrt.’s CEO told at the Budapest press conference that the Hungarian government seems to support the cause of domestic food products and enterprises. Co-op Hungary – where the proportion of Hungarian products in stores is above 80 percent – has the same goal with the rally. Minister of state of Dr Endre Kardeván represented the main patron of the event, Minister of Rural Development Sándor Fazekas and told that Coop’s business policy was completely in line with the ministry’s support strategy. For the record: the mixed team of Unió Coop and Co-op Hungary won the rally, finishing before Szesz Zrt. and Unilever Magyarország Kft.
