Kifli.hu is introducing a new, private label product line. The HUSI!BIO brand, now available, offers customers organic pork from Hungarian sources. There are currently 14 different products to choose from, and the range will be expanded further in the coming weeks. Kifli.hu has launched its own organic pork product line under the name HUSI!BIO.

The range includes 14 different types of meat, from pork belly to pork knuckle to the popular loin, made entirely from domestic, animal-friendly and controlled farming ingredients. HUSI!BIO products come from the farm of Virágzó Öko Kft. in Győr-Moson-Sopron County. The pigs are raised in deep-litter housing, with outdoor access, without tail docking. The animals receive GMO-free, complete feed, more than 80 percent of which is grown by the farm itself. Their transportation is only short-distance, they travel only 40 kilometers to the slaughterhouse, thus minimizing the stress they experience.

The meat is also processed and packaged in Hungary: it is slaughtered in Kisigmánd, cut and packaged in Győr, and then the product arrives at Kifli’s warehouse from Bőny. The range follows a “tail to nose” approach, meaning that almost every part of the pig is available. Customers can find the most popular cuts of meat – such as loin, thigh, rib, shoulder, sirloin – but the selection also includes knuckle, liver, bacon and ribs.

Kifli plans to sell 3–3.5 tons of organic pork per month, and plans to double this amount within a year. Although the price of organic meat is higher than that of large-scale versions, more and more customers are choosing domestic products produced sustainably and in animal-friendly conditions. In addition, Kifli Xtra members receive a 10 percent discount on all HUSI!BIO products.
