METRO awaits its customers with various monthly fish tastings all across the country
The regular consumption of fish has several positive physiological effects. The METRO Kereskedelmi Kft. is willing to draw attention to this fact with fish tastings and presentations. Although the fish consumption statistics of the Hungarian show a slow growth, Hungary is still among the lowest fish consuming countries in Europe.
METRO offers the possible widest range of fresh fish to its professional buyers: marine fishes arrive to METRO three times per week (Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays), the freshwater fishes are delivered directly to the stores by the Hungarian producers, so they can be on the costumers’ plate within 24 hours after they were caught. All marine fishes come from their habitat to the METRO stores, the Lake Victoria Pike comes straight from Tanzania, while salmon from Norway – within a maximum 60 hours after they were caught.
