PENNY brightened the Christmas of disadvantaged children
This year, the International Children’s Rescue Service organized the “Everyone’s Christmas” program for the 31st time. The organization and PENNY Hungary have been working together for 10 years now, so supporting the holiday program was not an issue for the retail store chain. With their help, they made the Christmas of underprivileged children and their families more beautiful and memorable.
On December 12, Cinema City Westend hosted the ceremony, within the framework of which the actors of the Budapest Operetta Theater and the students of the Pest Broadway Studio gave a performance. The 300 participating children came to the event from elementary schools and other institutions in Budapest. A few days later, on December 18, needy children and their families were invited to the Hungarian State Opera House for a special performance of The Nutcracker. The total of nearly 1,200 participants came mainly from elementary schools and institutions in Budapest and the agglomeration, as well as in rural areas. Thanks to the organization’s cross-border headquarters, this time families from Transylvania and the Highlands could also join the event. At the end of the programs, the guests were enriched not only with unforgettable experiences, but also with festive gift packages thanks to the sponsors.
