More efficient NAV inspections
In the future the most important elements in the inspection system of the National Tax and Customs Administration (NAV) are: inspection of targetedly chosen tax payers, checking economic events taking place in the present, tax control with a VAT focus, the Electronic Public Road Trade Control System (EKÁER), the online cash register system and adopting international data for risk mapping tasks. Csilla Tamásné Czinege, deputy state secretary of the Ministry for National Economy told the press that in the last 6 months fewer inspections resulted in uncovering more unpaid budget revenue than a year ago. The transformation of NAV’s inspection system started in January 2016 and the new strategy is keener on analysing data and information from more sources than on performing a large number of inspections. /
