Magazine: Fuel cards ensure efficient cost control
Practically all filling station chain owners offer some kind of fuel card service to corporate partners. The advantage of these is that they make safe, fast and cost-efficient fuel buying possible.
With Multipoint Business cards MOL Magyarország Nyrt.’s partners can choose from two schemes, individual and collective point collecting – informed Szabolcs Pál Szabó, sales director of the company. Multipoint Business card holders get 1 multipoint for each litre of fuel purchased at MOL petrol stations and 5 multipoints per litre for premium fuels. What is more, for each HUF 100 spent in the petrol station shop 1 multipoint is given. MOL Group Card fuel card holders can select from more card types, such as MOL Group Gold Europe, MOL Group Gold Hungary, MOL Partner and MOL Group Gift.
We learned from Lajos Veér, sales director of Shell Hungary Zrt. in Hungary and Romania, that euroShell card holders can use their cards to buy fuel and pay for road tolls simply anywhere in Europe. If any kind of vehicle problem occurs, fleet owners are entitled to free assistance service in Hungary. Shell helps partners to claim a VAT and excise tax refund for euroShell card users. Partners can choose from two types of fuel card, prepaid and postpaid. The former can be used in Hungary only; one can only get a postpaid euroShell card if they pass Shell’s eligibility test. Soon Shell will replace all magnetic stripe cards with chip cards. There is an online platform available to card holders where they can monitor transactions, set limitations or ask for fuel use reports. Shell also offers various types of discounts customised to the individual needs of enterprises.
Zoárd Baranyai, card business country manager of OMV Hungária Kft. talked to our magazine about their fuel card services: to smaller fleets with maximum 9 vehicles they recommend OMV Station Card Plus – this can be used to purchase fuel in Hungary; businesses that operate fleets of 10 or more vehicles can choose the OMV ROUTEX fuel card for both passenger and commercial vehicles – these can also be used abroad. //
