Retail sales grew by six percent in the Czech Republic
Retail sales grew by six percent in the Czech Republic on an annual comparision in April, in the Czech Republic – the Czech Statistical Office (CSÚ) announced in Prague on Friday. The refined growth rate in March 5.9 percent on an annual basis.
In April, fuel sales increased significantly (7.6 percent), while food sales increased by 3.8 percent and the sales of industrial goods by 7.4 percent. However, the turnover rise from car sales declined compared with March. While in March the turnover of this segment increased by 14.7 percent on an annual basis in April only rose by 7.1 percent.
