Of the supported companies, 74 are small enterprises with under fifty employees, and 67 are medium-sized enterprises. In terms of sectoral breakdown, enterprises operating in the metal and mechanical engineering industries dominate (a third of the beneficiaries), followed by the plastics and chemical industries (13 percent), the construction industry (10 percent), and trade and technical services (8 percent each).

Richárd Szabados, the State Secretary for the Development of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises and Technology at the Ministry of National Economy, highlighted in the announcement that the notification of clients will continue at an accelerated pace in the coming weeks. The Ministry of National Economy strives to ensure that enterprises can implement their investments as soon as possible, as this is in the common interest of both the government and domestic small and medium-sized enterprises – the State Secretary stated.

The Ministry of National Economy reminded that the Sándor Demján 1+1 SME Investment Stimulation Support Program provides non-refundable support for investments aimed at changing technology by domestic SMEs.

The aim of the program is to contribute to the dynamization of the economy, technological innovation and improvement of competitiveness by encouraging investments by domestic micro, small and medium-sized enterprises. The program was originally launched with a budget of 48 billion forints, for which 1,885 enterprises submitted applications, for a total value of 136.3 billion forints.

In view of the great interest, the government provided additional resources of 82 billion forints, i.e. a total of 130 billion forints for the benefit of the program. As a result, nearly 1,800 enterprises will receive support instead of the originally planned 450, so about four times as many enterprises will be able to implement their investments with government support.
