Three-month lows in consumer sentiment in the United States
According to data published on the University of Michigan website on Friday, both components of the index, the assessment of the current situation and the expectations indicator, were also lower than in the previous month.
The final value of the consumer sentiment index was 82.9 points instead of the preliminary value of 82.8 points in May. The index stood at 88.3 points in April and 72.3 points a year before, in May 2020. The low point of the indicator was 71.8 points last April. (MTI)
